How Does a Demo Rental Work?
Try before you buy! Goldsmiths Sports Demo Rental Program allows you to rent this years best skis and snowboards and apply up to two days of your rental cost to the purchase of any new ski or snowboard! Give it a try and find that new ski or board that is just right for you! (We do not offer discounts if using your own boots, but can provide boots if needed)

The Maven 86 is one of the best skis to rent in Big Bear as it offers all mountain performance that can tackle any of the terrain at Snow Summit, Bear Mountain, or Snow Valley. A lightweight and versatile ski, these puppies slide through carving turns and hold a great edge in on groomers.
With the perfect blend of high and low density wood core construction, the Black Pearl skis are one of the most popular choices for female skiers. Great for casual skiers, but strong enough for those that push harder, the Pearls are a great choice for Big Bear mountains. We can hardly keep them on the shelves!

Light and easy to use, the skis (with included bindings) are great for those developing their skills and grabbing their first pair. One of our most affordable options for women, the Absolute Joys by Head are another of the best rentals skis for Big Bear.
Like the Absolute Joys, the Pure Joy by Head is a fantastic ski rental for Big Bear for intermediate to advanced riders. A bit stiffer, but still lightweight, the Pure Joys feature a forgiving 75mm waist that can help you perform on or off piste throughout the Big Bear mountain’s terrain.

Great for any of Big Bear Mountain Resorts’ runs, this all mountain ski is on the stiffer side and is built with two sheets of metal inside. Perfect for intermediate to advanced skiers, this is a great choice on days when we have a bit more snow pack to really let it rip.
A bit wide for our Big Bear mountains, these skis perform great on fresh snow days. The nimblest of the Rustler line, the Rustler 9s are a great fit for our slopes and can take you anywhere you might venture where they get even deeper powder. Playful feeling wood cores give these skis forgiving performance that make for a fun day when riding with friends.
Our Rental Manager Jason’s favorite ski in our lineup. This is one of the best ski rentals we offer, and can really do it all. A 93mm underfoot ski that feels like a 70mm. Light and simple to use, great for easy to intermediate riding all over any of the Big Bear Mountain resorts.
Second only to the Atomic Maverick in terms of value, this powerhouse of a ski includes system bindings in its price. One of the best skis for Big Bear, this is a great choice for high intermediate riders pushing their skills and turns harder. A V4 that rides like a V8!
A wide ski (also available in an 88 underfoot), the Enforcer plows through powder when we get it. Some of the best tree runs in Big Bear are at Snow Valley Resort, and that’s exactly where the Enforcer excels. As Marcus (a Goldsmiths Rental Tech) puts it, this ski “slides serenely” across the runs and through the back country.
A real “Skier’s Ski,” the Stockli SL loves to rip. It wont crack or chatter under 60MPH and holds it’s edge in turns when your butt is 3in off the snow. An Ex-racer’s dream, it really shows it’s stuff at the bottom of chair 10 at Snow Summit over the rollers.
The best ski rental for a skier learning to carve, moving from intermediate turns into advanced riding. Great for Miracle Mile at Snow Summit where you have plenty of room and steepness for learning smooth transitions. A forgiving ski for edge to edge transfers, you can’t go wrong with a Stockli!
A GS skier’s retirement dream, the SX will stand you upright in a 45MPH slalom turn at the bottom of chair 10 at Summit. Not for beginners, this ski is great for advanced riders looking to push their skills.
Big Bear’s dream ski, the Montera can do anything in every condition from groomed hard pack to powder days. The unique tip technology makes this ski handle like a slalom ski, but offers plenty of rocker when you need it.
Like the women’s Kenja 88, the Volkl Kendos are a well designed ski for men advancing in their skills. Featuring carbon and Titanal construction, these slightly stiffer skis will help progressing riders the ability to hold harder turns and still reduce vibration in chop. Great for our “typical” Big Bear conditions, these are one of the best ski rentals in Big Bear!
